Great Gatsby||Book* Review

IN CELEBRATION OF THE MAKING OF THE GREAT GATSBY MOVIE, I INTRODUCE MY BOOK REVIEW TO ONE OF MY FAVORITE BOOK'S OF ALL TIME, I LOVED THE MOVIE BUT THE PRINT VERSION WILL ALWAYS BE EXTRAORDINARY.

The Great Gatsby Review

I've lost count on how many times I have read the Great Gatsby. It is an American book; a classic. One you always find yourself going back to. Also a book that no matter how many times you read it, there is aways something new to learn, and a new lesson to be taught. It is grand, dramatic over the top some even say nearly absurd while focusing on the lavish parties with hidden context between each line, as but also beautiful, and intense. The book was more lyrical , smoldering and explosive In a way the book sings to you, the wind brilliant narration of the book has internal thoughts and commentary that you have to see to get something out of it, as Fitzgerald allows you to reach your own conclusion about the things he does for daisy and as they unravel. It is a writers book in a way, since its so simple and in many ways obvious, yet it works so wonderfully well as you unravel it throughout the book. Nick Carraway said, “Gatsby Turned out alright in the end; it is what preyed on Gatsby, what could dust floated in the wake of his dreams that temporarily closed out my interest in the abortive sorrows and short-winded elations of men. (Fitzgerald 2). Perhaps one of the most famous quotes in the book and in American Literature. You may take many interpretations from this quote. As writer's and And Artists work is often not theirs anymore once reached to the public, as the public makes own conclusion towards the topic. To myself I take it as despite Gatsby's troubles, his love for daisy was pure. Everything he did was always for her. Throwing lavish parties hoping one day she will walk through the door. Despite everything he turned out alright ,although in the process of trying to win her, he associated himself with people he had no real relation towards. People with no passion, users and takers, people who though too highly off themselves. Gatsby thought of them as boring and unpleasant, but would endure them for the sake of Daisy. He went as far as at the green light at the end of the hallway. The green light represented his hopes and dreams for the future with Daisy. And his hope that it wasn't too late for them. Fitzgerald went to great lengths to illustrate Gatsby's love for daisy. A line was drawn between Fitzgerald and his character Gatsby and you start to realize how close his story was to Gatsby's. Fitzgerald dedicated the book to Zelda his wife that after a nervous breakdown ended up away a nervous Institution. Gatsby had hope and so did Fitzgerald for Gatsby despite his love ending badly for him. At the end Gatsby loved intensely but realized Daisy will always choose another over him. So both loved, hoped, but at the end ended up alone. It's organized as a series of moments like small time bombs in which one might go off and relieve some weight of what the reader knows, but at the same time you don't want them to go off to enjoy the way things unravel for as long as possible.Even then whether it was real like Fitzgerald's love for Zelda or fiction like Gatsby's love for Daisy demonstrated a man's thrill for a life partner, no matter the end cause.

Its cinco de Mayo everyone which in fact is one of the biggest drinking days of the year (not that i can drink legally anyway) here in the states but also a time where theres food and family. Since i started this blog a couple of months ago i was stuck in a dilemma wether i should make my blog available only in english or both spanish and english. Since then i felt as though i wasn't being completely myself and if i didn't. The spanish language is a part of how i was raised and a part of the culture in which i was brought up, and essentially is a part of who i am. Reinventing this blog to be available in another language is i think what is going to not just widen my traffic but also make it complete to myself as i would connect my blog to myself at a closer level.
So from now on i will write each post in english then in spanish in italics.
Do you guys like that idea?

Dealing With Stress

http://indulgy.com/post/AX9Q22n0K1/stress#/do/from/75134254513

You wake up, you grab a quick breakfast, get ready for the day, put make up on, and have to change five times because of course nothing is fitting right that day and the weather is not playing nice. You have flash cards in your hand ready for that day's exam and a Starbucks cup in your other hand. You nail your test but still feel anxious toward the results, you get through the next class, and then you go to the gym and finally get home eat dinner and finish/start on your next paper. Then finally sleep around 12:30. It no surprise the big word that haunts you in those days in STRESS.
I especially deal with anxiety and sometimes a simple task is like the world is ending, stress can take over and add to my anxiety. I recently had an epiphany a few days ago when my sister asked,"Why are you so bitter lately?" I realized stress was taking over my life and i needed a stress detox ASAP.

Say YES!
Its a project on the works, but one worth having. Saying yes to life possibilites you wouldnt normally agree to can make you feel like you are taking life by its hinges and taking control of how you live your life.

Music
Music has that great capability of making you let go and just exists within a song. It lets you put aside your worries and you anxiety and focus on a story.

Workin' it out
Some people might not enjoy working out, sweating etc but i think we can all agree it feels great afterward . Working out releases endorphins that make you feel relaxed and on ease.

Namaste'
Take a breath in and sloooow down
We all have goals, and achievements we we wish to reach but life isn't about living it fast but living it fully doing what you love while still having time to stop and enjoy the view. HOT YOGA is something i discovereda few months ago and its also a great workout. It helps you understand your body and how it works while helping you reach a balance between work/school and your emotional state.

FINALLY DRINK WATER!
Our bodies, including our brains, need water to function properly. If you’re just a bit dehydrated, your body's levels of cortisol, a stress hormone, increase. Plus water and sleep is the most important ingredient for helping your skin look and feel great.

If  ya'll have ever experienced stress and found ways to de-stress and would like to share comment below! I love reading y'alls comments

Newspaper Nails

Okay guys so this little nail experiment has been around for a while now, but like so many i honestly didn't know how to do this. Newspaper Nails--->  Mind=Blown!

What You'll Need:

1) Base & Top Coat

2) Nail Polish of your choice try to get one you know is long-lasting!

3) Any newspaper (some states don't use same quality newspaper to save trees)

4)  Isopropyl Rubbing Alcohol

Step 1

BASE COAT AND COLOR

Okay the first step is to apply a thin layer of your favorite base coat. Then, apply two coats of any polish in a light to medium shade. Choose a creamy, non-shimmery texture for best results.

Step 2

PREPARE NEWSPAPER
While your nails are drying; Cut ten 2" x 1" strips (one for each nail), and set aside.

Step 3

NEWSPAPER APPLICATION

Begin applying the newspaper only after your nails are completely dry. Dab rubbing alcohol on the nail bed with your finger or dip the whole nail into a small bowl of rubbing alcohol. Then, dip one newspaper strip into your small bowl of alcohol and shake it out.  Overlay that newspaper strip directly on the nail bed and don't move!  Take an alcohol-dampened paper towel and apply light pressure on the nail just like a temporary tattoo. After 10 full seconds, slowly peel off the strip and you'll see the ink imprint. Repeat this process for each nail.

Step 4

TOP COAT

Allow nails to dry again for five full minutes, then seal the deal with your favorite top coat.

I absolutely loved the effect it was very creative and unique , doing my nail's isnt usually my strong suit so i think next time ill get a professional to do it . This was just really creative and as blogger's might we all agree this is like a blogger trademark on your nails WE ALL LOVE WRITING!

Let me know if ya'll have tried this before and if it worked for ya'll?! And dont forget to add me via other social media
sites! Thankyou!
